I have always wanted to write about London. I absolutely love the place. Until I started processing the pictures for this blog, I didn’t quite put my finger on what it was that I loved about London so much. As I began to look through the pictures I had taken, I found out that it wasn’t just one thing that made me love London. It was many, many things.
The biggest thing that I love about London is the historic natural of the place. Brits don’t tear down their historical places. They have been preserving their history for centuries. Where I live a lot of historic places were torn down to make way for progress. Historic building and their stories only started to be preserved when it was discovered that it was a tourist attraction to do so. But, since that movement started, people have begun to realize the importance of preserving their history.
The pictures that I post here is not even the tip of the iceberg of what London is. London is a place to be explored for a lifetime. There is so much to do there. It’s just impossible to write what all these things are in the pictures but I will say that the images you see are not in a special section of town. The things in these images are what the British people live with everyday. It’s normal for them to walk by a centuries old castle or statue on the way to work. I will tell you. that when you see pictures of the upper train platforms, those poles you see with the lovely decorative iron work at the top is from WWI and WWII.
I hope you enjoy the photos. I hope you go visit England one day because there is so much more to it than these pictures. I just hoped to give you all a small glance into London. I’ll have to do another blog on some things in London because they deserve a blog of their own and I just can’t do justice to anything by jamming everything into one blog.
